1987 Melges A scow
1987 A scow, Melges fiberglass, 3 mainsails, 4 jibs, 4 spinnakers including a Whomper and VMG. This is Blair Jenness' A scow, M-6 COMET, which he bought new. This boat was completely re-rigged, including a 'blockectomy', by Brad Robinson before the 2004 racing season, so this is NOT a 'project boat', it is ready to race or sail as you see fit. It sports a 2000 era Omohundro carbon fiber and epoxy mast, Tacktic electronic compass, and the uber-radial vang as carried also on VICTORY, INNOVATION, and INSTIGATOR. You can split the main leech with this vang. $15,000. Also available: the aluminum tandem axle 'Brereton' trailer that was delivered with the boat when new, in very good condition, this is the trailer that Zenda are no longer making, and once you own one of these, you won't ever sell it. $6,000. For more information and to view the boat on Minnetonka, call Willie Crear at 207.423.0061, or email at williecrear@hotmail.com.
