For the crew of the boat Cosmic Warrior, sailors prefer sun and wind.
“Today is quite windy, so we’ll be going pretty fast,” said skipper Rob Evans, looking at the white caps and deep blue zones that dot some areas of Lake Minnetonka. “Somedays the water will be very shifty and fickle. Somedays it will be super windy and steady like the ocean.”
Every Tuesday of the summer, the seven-member crew has been practicing and participating in races to prepare for competition.
